The study field ‘Entrepreneurship’ differs from other study fields within the university programme ‘Economic and Business Sciences’ at the Faculty of Economics and Business and other similar programmes at other business schools mainly because of internship that each student has to undergo in mentor companies. Namely, each student has to choose one small or medium sized enterprise (with no less than 10 and no more than 100 employees) where he/she performs internship one day per week for two academic years. Of course, the internship is coordinated with the students’ timetable and all other academic obligations. We work with those companies that create new value and have the capability, willingness and motivation to cooperate with the university. Our selection criteria for these companies include information openness, seriousness, the ability to assign the students relevant tasks as well as the willingness to learn and change.
